It all began in the early 90s when health concerns were rising regarding the poor nutritional content of bread products on the market. Low in protein and fiber and high in sugar, standard bread at the time was contributing to various health problems. That’s when the Chayeb family decided to create a whole-wheat, sugar-free healthy alternative. Using the traditional methods of our ancestors, the Chayeb family began sourcing the finest quality wheat, grinding and kneading it in the same conventional way to maintain the grain’s highest nutritional content.
By 1995, Chayeb Bakery was established as the first bakery in Lebanon to produce whole wheat bread. We began to expand across the market, successfully distinguishing ourselves from the rest. Our customers particularly appreciate our attention to quality, hygiene, and service. Today, this health-friendly concept includes new products such as Kaak, Oat & Flaxseed Bread, Buckwheat & Chia Bread, and many others. All our products are prepared from whole wheat flour from the bakery’s very own mills, delivering the same high quality and great taste.
